Signs it is time to call
- Water drains slowly even after the stopper and visible debris are cleaned.
- A sink or tub backs up during normal use.
- The drain gurgles or produces an unpleasant odor.
- The same household drain keeps clogging.
What JT checks
The location and pattern of a clog matter. One slow fixture may point to a local obstruction; several fixtures acting up together may indicate a larger line problem. JT starts with what is happening in the home, then recommends the appropriate next step.
If the symptoms suggest equipment, permitting, or work beyond the scope of an everyday clearing, JT will say so and point you toward the right licensed specialist.
Keep the drain clearer
Avoid sending grease, wipes, coffee grounds, fibrous food, and excess hair into household drains. Screens and routine cleaning help; repeated chemical drain cleaner can damage materials and hide a bigger problem.
